I wonder what it would look like to be on the inside looking out of the very group that doesn't want you to be a part of it. What do they see when they look at me? What do they see of themselves that doesn't reflect back to my experience? How is the call made to judge?
I find this interesting.

invisibility
I'm curious as to how people see themselves. Do they feel that they are seeing their reflection in the people they meet or keep close? Is there a sense of a constructed public self and a privately owned personal self? Do they not think about it?
I wonder if they immediacy of contact in our world is letting us believe in the power of our voice while still retaining a sense of invisibility? We post, we chat we share. But, do we still think we control our message or who we intend as an audience? In my work I get emails and notes from lots of folks. Unfortunately many messages are in a netherworld of private/public. My work demands a sense of decorum and respect for privacy. However many of the communiques I receive are downright rude. And I cannot respond in kind. So my job, while public, needs me to be complicit in my invisibility.
I am curious. How do you want me to see you? How do you think I actually do?
sidenote: "Traffic is Murder" would be a great ad-line for a scary road rage/slasher movie
